General description: light yellowish-brown to biscuit colour with light rose-coloured shading heartwood, markedly different brownish or yellowish white sapwood; straight grain with a characteristic silvery shape on radially sawn surfaces, medium to coarse texture.

Uses: furniture, cabinet-making, carpentry, support structures, flooring, parquet, flooring panels, benches and church pews; marine fittings, pegs, stairs, agricultural tools, barrels, coffins; plywood, engineered veneer for decorative veneering.
