General description: Wood colour varies from yellowish brown to yellowish white, the heartwood can have blackish streaks(Black Frak “round” or “starred” centre); straight, compact grain; coarse, uniform texture. Possible larvae holes.

Uses: internal joinery, shop fittings, furniture,desks, turning, chests and light contsruction; functional plywood, the black heartwood is used in decorative veneering.

DIMENSIONS

The best timber is earmarked for Italian production. This selection, along with our careful controls during processing and transformation, results in offering the highest quality to the Italian market.

There is a distinction between White Frak (yellow colour) and Black Frak (dark streaking). In case of Black Frak it is possible to find tiny larvae holes.
