General description: white heartwood with pinkish shading, white sapwood with varying widths depending on growth conditions; straight grain, fine and regular texture. Light, elastic wood, splits with difficulty.

Uses:?cricket bats, toys, baskets, wickerwork; boxes, packing cases, barrels, craftwork; engineered decorative veneering ( panelling, furniture, in-laid work).
