DETAILS

General description: red or brownish pink heartwood, yellowish or pinkish white sapwood. On seasoning takes on reddish brown colour;?resinous. Grain and texture influenced by geographical area and its conditions.

Uses: furniture, joinery, turning, construction. Swedish,Finnish and Russian woods are preferred for window frames as they exhibit finer regular rings, making them quite similar.
