Corà, always more aware of themes related to energy, has been producing the electricity needed by its own wood working plants to work since 1989. In 2010 the Corà group began an important investment project on the production of energy from renewable sources which, when fully operative, will be made up of 7 photovoltaic systems on the roofs of its own factories for a total installed power of approx. 4.110 kWp. These systems will give a yearly saving of 3,200 tons of CO2, equivalent to 96,000 tons over 30 years, contributing to improving the quality of the environment in which the company works.
The environment is our resource and that of future generations. This is why attention to the ecosystem and the informed use of the resources are top priorities for us. We have been financing huge reforestation programmes since 1963 and we implement the sustainable management of raw materials in accordance with the stringent FSC COC Standards.
The heirloom we leave for future generations is an intact forest biosystem, because excellent products can only come from an approach of this kind.
It is not just about proposing prestigious wood or top quality aesthetic features. In our opinion what really counts is the safety of our products, and this is why we adopt a ‘not’ policy.
