General description: light brown heartwood, straight to irregular and interlocked grain depending on growth conditions,?radially cut surfaces show silvery shaped characteristics due to wide radials.

Uses: cabinetry and furniture (Slavonian origin preferred), high quality joinery, chests, benches, church pews, in-lay work; ?load-bearing machinery elements, truck beds; plywood, engineered veneer for decorative veneering (beautiful “silver” or “raindrop” shapes are created). Cognac, wine, beer?casks.
