General description: yellow heartwood (turns orange or greenish on exposure to air), light? grey, red, brown or yellowish toned sapwood that merges into the heartwood; interlocked grain, coarse texture. Oily surface appearance, very bitter taste.

Uses: heavy construction, shipping work, plumbing, flooring.
