General description: light pink to dark red heartwood, very distinct greyish-white sapwood; superficially interlocked or slightly wavy grain, coarse and irregular texture.

Uses: plywood, window/door fittings, boat furnishings, laminated boards, inside framework, cigar boxes, packing cases, furniture (coverings, moulding).
